Intro to Officiating Roller Derby

Are you a fan of roller derby and want to learn more about the sport? Are you someone who likes to rollerskate but doesn’t want to get hit? Are you looking to join a new community of fun-loving people who are into watching people go fast and get hit around on rollerskates? If you answered “yes” to any of these questions, you should join Emerald City Roller Derby’s “Intro to Officiating Roller Derby” series!

This free series of classes will teach you the fundementals of being a volunteer for the exciting sport of roller derby. Don’t want to skate? No problem! We will teach you how to keep score, time jams, track penalties, and run the scoreboard. Know how to skate and want to get involved? We will also teach you the fundementals of being a skating official, AKA a “referee”. We love our officials and want you to come join us!
